Writing for HubPages is great Internet publicity
65Film directors
HubPages is well worth writing articles for because you really never know who will end up reading yours. Twice I have had film directors contact me after seeing my work on the site. This means that HubPages is a great place for getting your writings seen. The website is a wonderful place to showcase your work.
Chris Everard, who makes documentary films for his Enigma Channel, and Raymond Deane the director of the forthcoming film Travail: Dawn of a New Day, both specialise in making films about the Illuminati, the New World Order and conspiracy theory material. Both these directors came across my writings here at HubPages and got in touch.
Chris Everard
Chris Everard was researching the Kogi tribe of Columbia when he came upon my hub about them and got in touch. He was hoping to contact Alan Ereira, who had made the documentary From The Heart of the World about the Kogi back in 1991. It was the televised film that presented these people's message of concern about the way we are living and the state of the planet. The Kogi have a unique surviving pre-Columbian culture and think of themselves as guardians of the world. They are experts on seeing signs of harm done to the ecosystem and believe we are on a path leading to destruction.
I was able to put him in touch with my friend Sabrina Montanaro in Rome, who has actually spent time with these amazing people and who also knows Alan Ereira. Chris went over to Italy to meet Sabrina and he produced his own feature about the Kogi.
Impressed with my knowledge and writing skills he asked me to join the team for his Feed Your Brain Magazine and he has been paying me good money for the commissioned articles he has published.
I have written about the Guanches and the pyramids of Tenerife, about evidence for Egyptians and other civilisations and races in America before the Europeans went there, and contemporary with and even before the American Indians, and about L Ron Hubbard's advanced Scientology material that deals with a galactic tyrant called Xemu and other "space opera."
Chris Everard has a new book out too entitled Stoneage Psychedelia that presents some fascinating theories about religions and what the true inspiration was for many scriptures. Not God as such but mind-altering plants and fungi. It is an excellent book and I am very pleased to be mentioned in the credits as one of the people who helped.
Chris is mainly involved in writing about, making films about and researching conspiracy theories, alternative history, suppressed technologies and other subjects kept out of the mainstream media. My knowledge in these areas attracted his interest in my work and led to him employing me. This is a good example of where writing on a niche subject matter and displaying specialised knowledge can be a big help here and elsewhere. Raymond Deane, the other film director who got in touch with me after finding me here, has made a film on conspiracy theory material too.

Raymond Deane
Raymond Deane's film Travail: Dawn of a New Day is about the Illuminati, the New World Order agenda, 9:11 and racism as a tool of the evil controllers of the world. It is a hard-hitting action-packed thriller that exposes how the world is not as we are led to believe. It shows what is really going on. Fans of The Matrix should love it.
Anyway, Deane got in touch with me to ask if I could write a publicity article about his new film. I did so and published it here and the director was so pleased with the results that he gave me some great publicity in his online press release with a link to my hub, as well as inviting me to the première of Travail: Dawn of a New Day in New York.
It was wonderful getting this invitation and a really great shame that my circumstances don't allow me to attend. It just goes to show the sort of surprises and great benefits that can come about from writing and publishing articles on HubPages.
It is very rewarding knowing that influential people working in the film industry read my hubs and are impressed with what they have seen. It just goes to prove that HubPages is an excellent place to showcase your work, and another reason besides making money for me to be using the site.

Thanks for sharing your experience of your writing on Hubpages. It certainly gives me encouragement that one day some of my history hubs will be read by publishers.
Congratulations on your success!
Nice article Steve. I watched the trailer (above) and am going to see the movie online later on. Hub Pages is a brilliant site for writing.... I've met so many new friends as a result of posting my work here, it has changed my life. I love it.
Good on you Bard, and the interest in your work is a reflection on the high quality of your work and the interesting topics that you write on.
Lucky you! But I know it's not luck but sheer hard work that attracts good things to you. :) You're an inspiration to everyone here. Thank you!
Hello Bard of Ely, this is so exciting. Thank you for sharing. I am afraid to watch the movie trailer though. Your words "contoversial" sent up a red flag. Just having early morning coffee here, afraid a sudden shock could do me in at the moment. Regards snakeslane
You know, when I finished reading your article I was left thinking, "Isn't the world wide web an amazing place?" I think we so often forget about that www part and what it truly means. The web, and HubPages in your case, is an amazing way to present your talents that anyone and everyone with an internet connection anywhere in the world has an opportunity to view. Amazing! Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration!
I am pleased to see that your efforts are bearing fruit. Sometimes hard work does pay off.
Here Here to all the above.... especially the stuff about 'good quality' and 'hard work.' That's what does it in the end. Hub Pages is pretty unique and so easy to use - even people like me can suss it out and 'do-it.'
Wow, congratulations on this achievement, and what a wonderful commentary on your work! I always look forward to your writing, so I'm not surprised. I keep chipping away at hub pages, but I am really enjoying it in the process.
I'll hope someday somebody recognizes my work like they have yours.Congratulations on those accomplishments.
That is so exciting Bard of Ely and congratulations. I bet you were so excited when these people contacted you. I too have had people contact me about some of my hubs. My twin sister and I got a call from the "Anderson Cooper" talk show a couple months ago after they saw a hub I wrote on Claustrophobia. Hubpages is a great writing site for sure. Continued success to you :-)
I guess the advantage of HubPages is that it's possible to get high up the rankings and therefore to people attention. I'm glad you made those contacts. Pity you couldn't get to that opening night in New York though. That would have been great!
I have read a few of your hubs, I have not always left a comment. But you do write quality hubs and deserve to be reconised for them. So well done.
Very impressive and your experience is quite inspiring. Thank you for sharing this with us who are fairly new to Hub Pages.
Bard of Ely
Your story and journey on HubPages is extremely impressive. Surely many aspiring and established writers alike can take inspiration from your contributions as a writer for the magazine and for Travail. Did you ever think that HubPages would give you this opportunity when you first joined?
