Thirty hubs I did for the 30 hubs in 30 days hub challenge

The challenge

Before I started the 30 hubs in 30 days hub challenge I thought I couldn't find sufficient time to devote to it but then realising how often I had been posting new articles I thought I might as well give it a go.

My 30 hubs that completed the challenge

I am glad I did make the effort because I got a hub score of 100 on many occasions putting me on the front page with the other top hubbers, and I completed it all ahead of the 30-day deadline with five days still to go.

I am going to list the 30 hubs I published with a a bit about each one to explain what it is about. I tried to keep a varied selection of topics, and this is something I strive for with my hubs in general. I want to present a showcase of my writings on many different subjects.

30 hubs I published in 30 days

My first hub in the challenge was about the use of the megaphone by conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones to get the attention of the public and also by rock singers and entertainers as a gimmick and a tool.

Alex-Jones-and-the-power-of-the-megaphone

The second is on the subject of infighting between conspiracy theorists and activists, who claim to be on the same side and protesting about the same subject - in this case, the swine flu vaccination programme:

Jane-Burgermeister-and-infighting-with-conspiracy-theorists-about-swine-flu

My third hub is about Gareth Icke and his songs. Gareth is the son of conspiracy author David Icke but this does not show in his lyrics:

Gareth-Icke-sings-It-Feels-Like-A-Race

For hub number four I wrote about good and evil as terms and concepts that humans use but that otherwise have no meaning in the greater scheme of the universe.

Good-and-evil-are-human-concepts

My fifth was a newspaper story from the Tenerife Sun republished here about my efforts to help the Monarch Butterfly populations on the island:

The-Tenerife-butterfly-and-moth-rescue-team

Sixth hub was a bit of blatant self-promotion with regard to the six books that have been published in which I get a lot written about me:

Books-I-have-been-featured-in

Number seven is a hub about the pretty town of La Guancha in the north of the island of Tenerife:

La-Guancha-is-a-town-in-the-mountains-of-Tenerifes-north

My eighth hub in the challenge was another about places to visit, and in this case looked at the seaside village of San Marcos where I live.

Why-I-love-to-live-in-San-Marcos-in-the-north-of-Tenerife

Number nine is about Spanish girl singer-songwriter Zahara.

Who-is-Zahara

At ten is a hub about the Edgar Broughton Band, an act I discovered at the Isle of Wight festival back in 1969.

Edgar-Broughton-chanted-Out-Demons-Out-and-I-became-a-fan

Eleventh hub in the challenge is all about Charlie and Danny, two activists and truth-seekers who make entertaining videos out and about in London where they are often challenged by the authorities:

Charlie-and-Danny-make-videos-and-say-everything-is-OK-as-they-wake-up-London

At number twelve is an article I submitted to a newspaper editor here that resulted in me getting taken on as a columnist.

Why-I-can-fill-the-shoes-in-question

Number thirteen is another republished story from the Tenerife Sun about my efforts to help the conservation of butterflies on the island of Tenerife:

Butterfly-farming-on-a-balcony

At fourteen comes a hub explaining why millions of people are opposed to the global Monsanto company.

Why-are-millions-of-people-against-Monsanto

The fifteenth in the challenge is a look at astrological signs, and in particular the sign of Leo in which I happen to have many women friends.

My-women-friends-born-under-the-sign-of-Leo

At sixteen we have a hub about David Icke's conspiracy theory that the Queen and royal family are actually reptilian shapeshifters and how the Sex Pistols hit God Save The Queen also suggested this.

Seventeenth hub in the challenge is on the Swan Plant, a food plant of the Monarch Butterfly caterpillar.

At number eighteen I published a hub on some memories of pop and rock festivals I went to many years ago.

Free-festivals-and-pop-festivals-I-remember

For number nineteen I investigated the mysterious humming noise and phenomenon known as hummadruz:

The-mysterious-phenomenon-known-as-hummadruz

Number twenty is all about what I had to give up and leave behind to move to Tenerife:

Feng-shui-and-starting-a-new-life-in-Tenerife

Twenty-one is about my friend the Celtic singer-songwriter Lorraine Jordan.

The-songs-of-Lorraine-Jordan

At twenty-two is a hub about a multiple witness UFO sighting over where I used to live.

Twenty-three is my review of Jim Bob's new album Goffam:

Twenty-fourth hub in the 30 day challenge looks at growing palms and other tropical trees from seed.

At number twenty-five a hub about Marc Bolan, and in particular his Tyrannosaurus Rex album Unicorn:

Unicorn-and-the-magical-music-of-Marc-Bolan

For number twenty-six I came in for plenty of criticism by David Icke supporters and other conspiracy theorists for my review of David de Rothschild's book.

Number twenty-seven in the challenge as I approached the end is a hub on homosexuality in the natural world.

Gay-Monarch-butterflies-and-the-normality-of-homosexuality-in-nature

Twenty-eighth hub is about the original Mars Attacks bubble-gum cards and the censorship they provoked.

Mars-Attacks-the-first-time-around

At twenty-nine, my penultimate hub in the challenge takes a look at marine pollution, and in particular the problems of and dangers caused by plastic.

Plastic-pollution-and-the-Great-Pacific-Garbage-patch

And finally, for number thirty a hub about singer-songwriter and guitarist Nigel Mazlyn Jones:

Bard, your hubs are so interesting that I have made a folder for them to read later. You and one other hubber write on such an interesting array of topics, that I don't want to rush right through. So I will spend tomorrow, (monday, labor day), reading you past hubs, I might not comment on them all, but I will read a lot of them.

Well done on compleating your hub challenge, and to do with so many quality hubs my favourite has to be number 16 the revelation that the Queen is really a reptilian. Keep up the good work
