Who is Madame Mazuni? Her work is very psychedelic and would appeal to hippies young and old
Find out about Madame Mazuni here
I recently came across the website of Madame Mazuni and because I was so impressed with what I found there I thought an interview with its owner for HubPages would make an interesting hub. It's all very colourful and I love colour! She is clearly influenced by the 1960s and psychedelia. There are bags, belts, tie dye stuff, ear-rings and jewellery. There's a strong American Indian influence too.
So is Madame Mazuni a boutique of sorts or an online and offline jewellery and handicrafts shop? What exactly is Madame Mazuni all about then? I thought the owner would be the best person to ask!

The Madame Mazuni exclusive interview
Please introduce yourself to my readers and say a bit about Madame Mazuni designs and merchandise.
In the Summer of 2009 I decided to set up a business called Madame Mazuni. I design and create the following:
Handmade Jewellery
Tie Dye Eco Cotton Bags
Tie Dye Pixie Pants (Hot Pants)
Tie Dye Artwork - Wallhangings
Handmade driftwood Healing Wands
I have always loved jewellery and have been interested in the Native Americans most of my life so this combination inspired me to design and create my own jewellery using similar techniques.
Years ago I had a past life reading done and I was told that I was part of the Sioux Indian Tribe and that I should research this and the medicine wheel. This was the start of my journey learning about Native Americans and their beliefs.
Since then I have read many books on this subject. I'd like to mention books by Kenneth Meadows which I particulaly enjoyed, Earth Medicine and Earth Quest the Medicine Way. And Zuni Fetishes by Hal Zina Bennett
One aspect which had particually inspired me was that of the Zuni people in New Mexico, Arizona.

Within my own jewellery creations I too enhance the power of the Ancient Traditions, Wisdom, Protection, Guidance & Healing Powers in each piece I create.
Alongside my jewellery I create Tie Dye products which are all completely unique and original. Each fabric design is completely unique with no design the same! How could they be??
It's very exciting for me, I love the process of tie dying as I never know what patterns I have created until I untie once done! Once the fabric is dry I then use paints to work around the patterns.
I always use bright and vibrant colours which lift you up into another happy dimension when you look at them!
Beautiful vibrant works of Art! I usually use Dylon but when in season I do try to use all natural dyes: for instance Berries for red and purple.
I also make healing wands & other sculptures using found driftwood and broken tree branches. I love finding unusual stones, wood, pebbles & shells. My home is full of them.
Madame Mazuni was created to bring Vibrancy, Colour, Magic, Love and Fun into peoples lifes.
I do believe the world we live in is Dull and Grey - I personally want to throw a huge rainbow over everyone!
