Buy Sarakan toothpaste without Fluoride and Organic Children Mandarin toothpaste
76To get away from Fluoride toothpastes
If like me you don't want to use toothpastes that contain Fluoride you may have to shop around to find good alternatives without the harmful ingredient. We all want to keep our teeth and gums healthy but it has become really difficult to get brands without Fluoride added although it can be done. The answer is to go to health stores or to buy online from the websites and suppliers of healthy alternatives.
Two toothpastes I use and recommend are Sarakan and Organic Children Mandarin Toothpaste.
Toothpastes without Fluoride
Sarakan toothpaste with Salvadora persica
Sarakan toothpaste is approved by the British Dental Foundation and gets the thumbs up from me too. This brand of paste is callded "Nature's Toothpaste" by G.R. Lane Health Products that make it.
Sarakan has no Fluoride and has added Salvadora persica, which is a tree that is widely used for helping to clean teeth and is known as the Toothbrush Tree. A twig taken from this tree is known as Miswak or Siwak and has been used by Muslims for dental hygiene. It is believed that the Prophet Mohammed recommended its use.
Although Sarakan is not a Miswak twig it contains the natural extract of this tree and Wikipdeia informs us: "Studies indicate that Salvadora persica extract is somewhat comparable to other oral disinfectants and anti-plaque agents like Triclosan and Chlorhexidine gluconate if used at a very high concentration."
Sarakan toothpaste contains no harmful Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), no artificial sweeteners, no added colours or preservatives and is suitable for use by vegans.
SLS is a foaming agent and industrial degreaser and not surprisingly has been shown to cause inflammation and it is also thought to be carcinogenic.
As for Fluoride it was used by the Nazis to control their victims and to cause them to be infertile. It is known as a substance that makes people docile and easy to control and is thought to be being used to dumb down the populations. It is also a waste product of the aluminum industry and is marked as a poison. So why should we have it in our toothpaste and in our domestic water supply? I certainly don't want it in mine!
Sarakan toothpaste is flavoured with the oils of Peppermint, Cloves and Geranium.

Organic Children Mandarin Toothpaste
I am not a child, well perhaps in many ways I am still, but I am using the excellent Organic Children Mandarin Toothpaste. It was obviously the best of a small range available in a health shop I was in. You see not all products sold in health stores are actually healthy and some have harmful ingredients so it still pays to check the labels. I had a look at what was in Organic Children Mandarin Toothpaste and saw that it looked perfect. And so it was!
Organic Children Mandarin Toothpaste has nothing that is in any way toxic and contains no foaming agents like SLS, no Fluoride, no artificial flavourings, sweeteners, colourings or preservatives. As it says on the tube: "100% Natural, No Nasties."
Organic Children Mandarin Toothpaste is made by the Green people Company Ltd and has certified organic ingredients. Vegans can use this product and it carries the approval of the Good Shopping Guide as an Ethical Company.
It also tastes just like mandarins!

I've grown up with fluoride added to the water and toothpaste and I don't think it's had any negative effects on my health. I'm certainly not infertile and have never been docile or easily controlled and while I may be a bit slower I really don't feel the dumbing down effect either. It may or may not be a good thing but blanket statements like that serve no purpose. Peace!! Tom
Now this is really a great hub, just up my alley of research. I just emailed it my dear friends, have you ever heard of Gogee Berries. Check out my hubs my friend, you will enjoy. Love your friend darski rate this up and a really fantastic hub
Steve the public gets little choice about anything. Agri-business is slowly killing us too with genetically altered food treated with who knows what that seems to be an experiment on our health. Wealthcare is now big business here in the U.S., where everyone has some kind of health issue. Isn't it strange that the poison that could kill us is sometimes what makes us well? I think all of us just do the best we can and what will be will be, we can't control everything no matter how much we'd like to. Peace!! Tom
Think I will go totally organic and have a shot of whiskey which was stored in a burned, aged barrel and has who knows how many "bad" things were added... Then have French fries which were cooked in a Teflon coated pan that has carcinogenic tendencies with additional serious health concerns... While I drink water that flows through copper pipes that use solder with lead that leaches into the water.... Now I have a tonic of copper and lead to complete the beginning of another cycle of enjoying the air that just came from the rear end of a nearby cow....
Hi Steve, I have to say that you are not the best advert for the use of Fluoride free toothpaste given the kind of problems I know you have had with your teeth. As for it being a poison: well so is alcohol, as an example. A deadly poison. It depends on the concentration, of course. I just don't accept your assertion that the dental health industry has a stake in poisoning us and I will continue to listen to advice from my dentist, who has kept my teeth sound for the last 50 years or more.
Here is a possible solution:
Ways to Remove Fluoride from Water
Reverse Osmosis Filtration
This is used to purify several types of bottled water (not all), so some bottled waters are unfluoridated. Reverse osmosis systems are generally unaffordable for personal use.
Activated Alumina Defluoridation Filter
These filters are used in locales where fluorosis is prevalent. They are relatively expensive (lowest price I saw was $30/filter) and require frequent replacement, but do offer an option for home water filtration.
Distillation Filtration
There are commercially available distillation filters that can be purchased to remove fluoride from water. On a related note: When looking at bottled water, keep in mind that 'distilled water' does not imply that a product is suitable for drinking water and other undesirable impurities may be present.
These Do NOT Remove Fluoride
Brita, Pur, and most other filters.
Some websites about fluoride removal state otherwise, but I checked the product descriptions on the companies' websites to confirm that fluoride is left in the water.
Boiling Water
This will concentrate the fluoride rather than reduce it.
Freezing Water
Freezing water does not affect the concentration of fluoride.
Steps to Reduce Fluoride Exposure
Don't take fluoride supplements.
Also:
Avoid drinking black or red tea.
There are many health benefits associated with chemical compounds found in tea, but this may be a beverage to avoid if you need to reduce your fluorine intake. Black and red tea come from two different types of plants, but both leaves naturally contain high amounts of fluorine.
Be wary of tinned fish and canned food items.
Fluoride may be used as a preservative.
Avoid black or red rock salt or items containing black or red rock salt.
Avoid using chewing tobacco.
Avoid long term use of medication that contains fluorine.
Certain antidepressants and medications for osteoporosis contain fluorine.
I can't believe that we're being spoon fed poison, but I would not put it past our government and big business. Especially if it can be used as a control substance. Voted up, marked useful.

Now if we could just get it out of the water that we shower in and drink from.
